This online event is designed to provide therapists with the information they need when assessing for, and writing an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP) noe updated to include and cover the SEND reforms. Aimed at physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech and language therapists, this event is a must-attend. Our expert speaker aims to provide therapists with the information they need to confidently write EHCPs and tribunal reports covering topics such as understanding the SEND legislation; planning and completing appropriate assessments and setting impactful outcomes.

About the Speaker
Patricia is an experienced Designated Clinical Officer (DCO) with deep expertise in SEND Law, Integrated Care Board policy, and the complexities of working across education, health and care. With over 29 years as a Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapist, she brings extensive experience in service redesign, quality improvement and supporting teams to deliver effective, inclusive provision.
Patricia has worked as an Expert Witness in SEND Tribunals for more than a decade and is known for her clear, practical guidance on EHC needs assessments, statutory duties, outcomes writing and Annual Review processes. She has also lectured at Brunel University London and Coventry University and is a regular speaker at national and international conferences.
Passionate about empowering professionals, educators and families, Patricia delivers highly accessible and impactful training on the legal landscape of SEND and evidence-informed inclusive practice.

After running our EHCP essentials and SEND tribunals workshops over the past few years, one message comes up again and again:

🌟 💡 What the group offers:
A monthly 90‑minute online supervision and peer support group for therapists navigating EHCPs, SEND Tribunals and education‑based practice.
✅ A small, facilitated group led by a clinical expert and DCO
✅ A confidential, psychologically safe space to explore real cases, documentation challenges and multi‑agency challenges
✅ The chance to submit questions or case themes in advance, so each session is focused and relevant (or the facilitator will also prepare common challenges)
📖 A curated Padlet of resources built from group themes – templates, guidance, tribunal tips and helpful references
